As you are aware, the industry has undergone significant increases in metal and compound costs in recent months, which has had a considerable impact on the wire and cable manufacturers.  As a result, Alcan Cable will implement a price increase on Aluminum Bare, Service and Building Wire cable products effective December 15, 2005. The approximate increases will be as follows:

• Bare Cable products - 18%
• 600V Overhead Service Cable products - 16%
• 600V Underground Service Cable products - 18% 
• XHHW, USE, SEU and SER Building Wire products - 18%

In addition, we have made several modifications to the payment terms and minumum order requirements.  Please see the new price sheets for detailed explanations of the changes.
