Rated up to 600 volts, Type NSF-2 insulated conductors are similar to Type NS-1, but each insulated conductor is covered with a PVC jacket, colour-coded for phase identification. The PVC jacket imparts improved properties to the cable, particularly with respect to resistance to flame, oil and mechanical damage. For this reason, NSF-2 is especially recommended for services crossing over residential properties.
