Alcan NMD90, insulated with flame retardent XLPE, provides excellent resistance to thermal deformation when the cable is required to operate at high temperatures. Compared to PVC insulated constructions, XLPE insulation will greatly improve the cable performance when subjected to repeated overloads. With the advent of higher levels of thermal insulation in residences, and with continuing use of electrical space heaters, Type NMD90 XLPE cables are highly recommended for contemporary homes.
